Pharrell VibeZ

The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) were amongst the most successful pop/hip hop producers of the early ’00s. They pretty much had a firm grip on the music charts in 2002 and 2003 with a run of hits that left their competition in the dust. Add to that Pharrell’s status as one of hip-hop’s most in-demand hook men. Simply put, this brother was delivering hits like time was running out. With two Grammys for Producer of the Year (one in 1999 and the other in 2014), it looks like he’s in the midst of another blazing run with “Blurred Lines” & “Get Lucky” leading the way. I included a few songs from his latest CD, GIRL, to add to my personal all-time greatest cuts that he produced. Like Prince who can pretty much do damn near everything –  produce, sing/rap, write, play multiple instruments – this brother is fixin’ to become one of the best producers of all time.
